We Need More PM's

You will read this time a true story based on the person and his way of living.  I tried to articulate very little of his work  and his untold achievements in crisp and smaller. This story is about a normal person with extraordinary values and responsibilities. The story were neither journalism nor society didn’t penetrate. It’s just an anecdote of his life.

We live in cynical age, were nobody helps anybody. In short, we are living for ourselves and forgot about giving back to the society which we are living safely. To understand more about what we are talking about. lets go to flashback, around 20 yrs back, Person named ***** born in poor family and started his life like any other old hero. I mean, walked 3 to 5 Km to study and slowly finished his graduation in those days. He took the responsibility of the entire family at early stages in his life. These well known hard paths and responsibilities are taken by most of them during those days. But, what makes the difference between people, is the way they turn the problems into opportunities. The way they lead life will make them special. Let's look what made him special.

He started working in the government organization in the area were he born. In government organizations, those days specially workers i.e. labor. They are uneducated but they toil all day.  There has been discrimination on them in their social life, behavior, society and also in work atmosphere. As we all knew about the well known caste-ism which is eating India was more prevalent in those days in every corner of India. There are hardly no one to look or at least bother about there problems. Organizations and  Managers were never bothered about them. Yeah, I knew everyone would say there are workers unions. They might solve few problems which are non technical issues. In a central-state owned organization, especially in ***** Industry, there are hell lot of laws and acts. As the workers are uneducated, There is a gap between workers and organization and to understand it’s laws/acts/promotions and its regulations. Sometimes when some higher officers going against the law in favor of others, someone should dissent it at the initial level.

Only educated can help them. Sorry, only educated with morals and values can only help them. We feel Most of us are educated ,but they are just educated with no real values. The person we are talking about took initiative and filled the gap between workers and organization. He is the bridge between them and helped them to solve their problems one by one. It was his initiative and nature to protect, save, help, in their careers in organization. The intention to help others is the only force pushed him towards it. He slowly, studied more about the loopholes, positives, acts, laws, promotions, incentives in the organization through books and investigation and helped many of the fellow workers and colleagues, friends as well to build their career higher than they expected. He reached to an extent were his Managers started respecting to his knowledge, will power in helping others. He has become popular in the organization and in the society he lives. He developed contacts with directors and agents in the org. All of them gave high regard towards his arguments / discussions and helped him to solve the problems. With only his initiative today many of the deserved candidates are living there life better than they expected. This everything can be possible only with EDUCATION. I mean education is not just a degree. People made it as for degree. But education is more about values and morals.  An educated should spread his wisdom to give light to society. One can’t be called as educated unless you spread the knowledge or someone is benefitted because of us.

His responsibilities kept increasing. He took all of them challenging and handled carefully. As the days passed, many of the people around the area and from different places where organization has, approached him. Among them most of them were benefited. He has become a busy guy. People got enduring belief on him. Daily to his home, 2 or 3 people, would visit for help and 3 to 4 hours of his day would be spent to them i.e. society.  sometimes complete days have been spent to society. This has become modus operandi in his life and slowly became part of his life. All these has been achieved not only because of him but also his family and their sacrifices. Women plays a key role in a married person then his children and rest of the family. His wife sacrificed a lot in his tough journey. She left all her happiness and felt her happiness is letting him what he wants to do. I can’t express her pain but finally it’s very difficult to support him. It might look normal and simple as we speak about it, but very difficult to travel. With her help, he could able to manage his family and guide them. He helped his brother’s education to marriage and guided brother-in-laws in their career. His kids were able to understand his lifestyle and never asked anything which he can’t get or never asked him not to invest his time on society. Overall, he got very strong support from his wife and then kids.

He helped the downtrodden people wherever they are discriminated in the organization as behavior (social discrimination) and in their careers. While helping them, he was not biased and helped all the communities who deserves ,what they are worth of. As the reputation increased, he along with his wife solved many family disputes around them and their neighbors. He received respect everywhere in his area and many greet him wholeheartedly daily wherever they meet him. They all welcome and remember him and his work. We have to remember from this, one can’t buy reputation, name, respect whatsoever, with money you can, but it is temporary.

Its just a glimpse of his work towards society. This article is not to boast him rather it’s an example to promote “Help others”. There are many such unsung heroes around us and in every family. But yet there are unknown where they live and what they have done. Many of his friends, were contributing a lot to society and people around them. few of them are Mr. Ramesh, Mr. Laxmaiah, ..There are many such persons. It is our responsibility to project them and share the good they have done and learn , motivate from it. We should subsume the nature of helping others and serve the society for better future. Our education should help to eradicate the darkness, social evils, atrocities on women in the society. So, Salvage the society from all the social evils which are eating the entire nation. Imagine if such persons are there in every colony ! We can build a better society, safety to our women, and build great society for our future generation. So, NEVER FORGET GIVING BACK !

The person in the article is Mohan. He works in Singareni collieries Company Ltd. I always say “We Need more PM’s !! ” . I would like to end the article with some excellent poetry by Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry garu from the movie “Rudraveena[Telugu]”.

“Saati manishi vedana chusthu Jaalileni shilavainavu
Karunanu maripincheda chaduvu samskaram ante
Gunde bandaga marcheda saampradaayamante

Nuvvu tine prati oka methuku ee sangham pandinchindi
Garvinche ee nee brathuku ee samajame malachindi
Runam teerchu tarunam vaste tappinchukupothunnava
Teppa tagalabettestaava yeru daatagane

Chuttoo pakkala chudara chinnavada
Chukkallo chupu chikkukunnavada”

Finally, Project good wherever you find it. Now-a-days it's very rare and precious!

Thanks for reading this article !!

  1. Excellently presented Mr avinash. I feel now the society is changing like some celebrities coming forward to adopt remote villages and common men volunteering help in case of natural calamities may it be Chennai floods or khatmandu earthquake without waiting for govt's help.the society is changing but the main problem is politicising the help rendered by volunteers. As far as serving the society is concerned there are many unsung heroes as u said.I feel basically the political scenario should change

    1. Thanks a lot Tripura! Yeah, I agree whenever there is good been done, there are few politicising them. I don't know how far Media's role in it ..I feel if Media is silent, then all such issues might wipe out sooner.
